Since our beginning,
our focus has been on product quality. It must work for you, be
easily installed and maintained, dependable, valued engineered,
and formulated for maximum life cost.
Experience has
taught us that a focus on product quality requires other commitments
as well, because quality is not something that can be achieved in
part. You believe in it or you dont: it must be everywhere
or it wont be anywhere. In our industry, certain links are
obvious between quality of product, customer service, safety
in the workplace, and the lives of each employee. If you miss any
one piece, youll probably miss it all.
And now, facing
a new millennium, another link is added quality of life on
Earth and the approach becomes more complex!
Although we
have managed to build products that meet our standards of quality
and also have less environmental impact recycled vinyl for
gaskets, recycled polyethylene for facing sheets, drop off
for skids/packaging, and New-Cell core material, for example
its not easy to make such vast improvements across
the board. The technologies required to manufacture our products
often come with an impact on the environment.
We struggle
every day with how to provide quality products that our customers
and we expect and what is required to preserve quality of life on
Earth.
The answers
are not simple, for us as a company or for you as a customer. There
exists a direct connection between the manufacturing of products
and the environmental woes affecting our correlation. We are aware
of our worlds environmental status, yet we also have a commitment
to manufacture the best quality products we possibly can. Newcourt
has deliberately chosen a dual-focus: we will reduce our impact
on the Earth but continue to manufacture the best products.
Sounds simple, but the challenge involves countless trade-offs that
our customers should understand. Our adhesives, coatings, sealants,
and gaskets are engineered to be safe for the environment and contain
no CFCs or Class 1 Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS). Our raw
material usage does not require reports under Sara Title III
better known as The Communitys Right to Know Act of
1987.
Our goal is
that this dual-focus of merging environmental preservation and high
quality standards will give our customers greater confidence and
assurance when they consider environment values in their marketplace
and finished product. They will know hat a green purchase
form Newcourt will be a sound, practical investment.
